Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) September 24, 2008 -- Home Run Software Services, Inc., announced their Go-Green CD/DVD Program, including the launch of their new eco-friendly product line and CD/DVD recycle center, at the Huntington Beach Green Expo on Saturday, September 20th at the Huntington Beach Central Library.

Finally, eco-friendly options for corporations and software companies to consider for use in their CD/DVD best practices.

Go-Green CD/DVD, Eco-friendly Packaging, 100% biodegradable (alternative to traditional plastic packaging). The material options include potato starch trays, recycled board stock, and soy inks, while overall reducing the carbon emissions footprint by over 85-90% compared to traditional plastic packaging.

Go-Green CD/DVD Flexi Discs, ultra-thin plastic wafers that cut down the amount of polycarbonate used in manufacturing by 50%, and offering the value added benefit that the material can be incorporated into creative packaging concepts where the flexi disc is wrapped around and affixed to cylindrical shaped products.

Go-Green USB Devices, housed in a bamboo case, superior alternative to the traditional plastic USB device packaging is a highly renewable and sustainable product doing its small part to move away from virgin or toxic materials.

Go-Green CD/DVD Recycle Center located at Home Run Software Services in Huntington Beach. The recycle center diverts old CDs and DVDs from landfills to recycling centers where polycarbonate will be repurposed into other useful plastic products. The service is FREE to all Huntington Beach residents. The recycle center also offers a fee-based service for companies needing to dispose of surplus and obsolete disc-based product inventory.
