Five Star Pictures and Big Screen Entertainment Group Enter Joint Venture

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) April 11, 2008 -- Los Angeles based Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG) headquartered at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood in partnership with Florida's largest independent production company, Five Star Productions based in Boca Raton.

Scott Woolley, President of Five Star Entertainment, based in Boca Raton, FL has announced the formation of The Independent Film Company in a partnership between Five Star Pictures, LLC- owned by Five Star Entertainment, Inc. and BIG Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG), a Los Angeles based publicly traded Media Company with divisions in Film, Television and Gaming. BSEG is headquartered at the legendary Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, CA.

According to Woolley, "This joint venture allows us to speed up our process of film making in Florida. The new Florida tax incentive now being offered to film makers to locate, develop and shoot major motion pictures in our state is a wise decision that allows our two organizations to be at the forefront of the tremendous growth opportunity that lies before us."

Woolley further stated, "We have signed agreements to produce seven films for theatrical release as part of this co-venture with BSEG. All of these films will be shot in Florida and the talent pool for these projects from writers, directors, producers and actors is an amazing cast of some of the biggest names in the film making industry."

According to Woolley, "This relationship can offer the answer to a lot of the questions asked of me these past few years as we have reached out to lead the way in bridging the gap between film making in California and the tremendous opportunity Florida offers. We have the experience and facilities to make this happen in a big way and are happy to extend the BSEG business to Florida."

Big Screen's President, David Zappone, and Executive Vice President, Michael Mansseri, while recently working out of Five Star's impressive 30,000 square foot production headquarters in Boca Raton jointly stated, "We are extremely pleased with the process and the progress we have made thus far in aligning our two companies. Each of us conducted substantial research and due- diligence prior to forming this partnership. We have explored this opportunity for almost 2 years. Both of our companies have come to the conclusion that this co-venture has all the necessities for success and we are of the belief that this opportunity is the correct approach for both of our companies to pursue."

Zappone and Manasseri were particularly impressed with the breadth of Five Star's technical capabilities and their state of the art physical plant plus the additional eight acres surrounding the facility which allows us ideal room for expansion.

Zappone also stated, "Scott Woolley has a vision along with a very exclusive team of talented individuals in all areas of production, who can help make his vision become reality. We are extremely pleased with this co-venture, and the opportunity to broaden our global operations base to include the State of Florida."

In closing Zappone further stated, "Aside from all the business dealings that have been going on, this is particularly pleasing to me personally since my family has owned a home in Palm Beach for many years. My roots and initial training in the film industry, as both an actor and producer, took place in Jupiter, under the guidance of Burt Reynolds."
